    Rotor heads (Hunter PGP, Rain Bird 5000, etc.) have a left-stop and arc setting that drifts after years of use or being bumped by a mower.

    Wrong nozzle for the throw distance

    A 15-foot nozzle on an 8-foot strip will always overshoot. Matching nozzle radius to the actual lawn area is the most common adjustment we make.

    Tilted or sunken head

    Heads settle over time. A 5-degree tilt is enough to throw spray onto a driveway when the head was set perfectly straight five years ago.

    Narrow strips between sidewalk and curb need side-strip or specialty nozzles, not standard spray or rotor heads.

    Most Hunter and Rain Bird rotors have a small slot or screw on top. You set the left stop manually by rotating the turret, then dial the arc adjustment to set the right stop. It's easier than it sounds — we can walk you through it on the phone or come dial it in.

    Turning the radius adjustment down reduces both overspray and lawn coverage — so the corner gets wet and the rest stays dry. The right fix is to set the arc correctly or change the nozzle.
